Liam Sheppard receives the Player of the Month award once again for November, writes Yahya Adi Nugroho
Daisy Hill FC announced that Liam Sheppard has once again earned the title of Player of the Month – this time for his outstanding performances throughout November. This achievement marks the second consecutive month in which Sheppard has taken home the award, highlighting not just a burst of form, but a sustained period of excellence and consistency that has made him one of the team’s most influential figures.
Across November, Sheppard delivered a string of performances that demonstrated reliability, creativity, and a sharp eye for goal. Over the course of five matches, he registered five goals, and what makes this accomplishment even more impressive is that he also secured three Opposition Man of the Match awards within those fixtures. His impact has been undeniable, both statistically and in the way he has driven the team forward on the pitch.
The month began strongly in the fixture against Colne, where Sheppard showcased his all-around ability. Not only did he score, but he also contributed two crucial assists, helping Daisy Hill secure a confident 3–1 victory. His involvement in all three goals displayed a level of influence rarely seen from a single player in one match, and it set the tone for what would become a standout month.
Just days later, Sheppard was at it again in the 1–1 draw against Steeton. He found the back of the net once more and earned another Man of the Match award for his efforts. His ability to consistently perform — regardless of opposition or match context — reinforced his growing reputation as a key figure in Daisy Hill’s attacking force.
One of Sheppard’s most memorable performances came during the clash with Maine Road. In a remarkable display of confidence and precision, he scored two goals in quick succession, with barely more than a minute separating the strikes. His first-half brace helped the team build an impressive four-goal lead heading into the break. Although the match eventually finished 4–2, Sheppard’s quick-fire double was the cornerstone of Daisy Hill’s dominance.
Even in defeat, his influence remained visible. In the final match of November against Thornton Cleveleys, Sheppard continued to fight until the final whistle. Despite the team’s unbeaten run coming to an end, he still managed to score a late consolation goal just moments before full time — a demonstration of his determination and refusal to give up. It also earned him yet another Opposition Man of the Match award, further solidifying his status as the standout performer of the month.
Overall, November was a period where Sheppard combined consistency, work rate, intelligence, and a clinical touch in front of goal. His contributions not only helped secure points but also lifted the team’s overall performance level. Achieving Player of the Month once is impressive — doing it twice in a row speaks volumes about his character, commitment, and form.
Daisy Hill FC congratulates Liam on this exceptional achievement and looks forward to seeing him carry this momentum into the weeks ahead.
