Travel disruptions caused mayhem in the Storm shelter

Just mere hours before the game, Manchester Storm announced through their social media pages that Friday night’s fixture is postponed. written by James Gabriel

The Friday matchup between the visiting Belfast Giants and Manchester Storm had been postponed to an unspecified date due to travel disruptions that prevented the Giants from making the trip to the Storm’s shelter.

With the two sides in contrasting forms, Manchester Storm splitting last week’s fixture, which saw them battle until the overtime period, it would have been an interesting match considering the Giants’ run of form as of late.

Many fans were quick to comment about the possible refunds, especially for those who have some friends and guests coming over the weekend to see the Storm vs Giants fixture.

However, in the same post, Manchester Storm assured both the visiting and the Storm hopefuls that they are quickly working with the EIHL and the Giants to decide when the rescheduled date of the postponed fixture.

They also stated that for those who purchased tickets for tonight’s game, their ticket will still be valid for the rescheduled match date.

However, there has been no update with regards to those fans who purchased the livestream of the match.
