The game took place on Saturday where Rochdale AFC faced Yeovil Town. These three points were crucial for the title race and reclaiming the top position on the table so the result saw a lot of smiles on the supporters of Rochdale AFC.
The first half started with clear intentions from The Dale. In the fifth minute of the match, Emmanuel Dieseruvwe stepped up and scored the match opener, making it 1-0.

The early goal clearly showcased McNulty’s side’s attacking strategy. They continued to attack, and during counter-pressing, Emmanuel was fouled in the 12th minute of the game. The foul resulted in a yellow card for Dale’s number nine.
But after a while, Emmanuel struck again with an impressive goal, taking it to 2-0. Yeovil Town were not able to reduce the deficit until the 43rd minute, when this time Ryan East struck for the Dale, making it 3-0.
The first 45 minutes were really difficult for Yeovil Town. Now they had a mountain to climb. Rochdale AFC was leading 3-0.
The second half started with Yeovil Town hoping to fight back. But this hope was not enough to reduce the deficit for them. Rochdale AFC was controlling the game flow and not making any mistakes.
Yeovil Town made a few decent moves, but nothing resulted well for them, resulting in the Dale claiming all three points with a score of 3-0.
Rochdale AFC not only won a crucial game for the title race, but they also reclaimed their throne. The Dale are now at the top of the National League table, spicing up the title race with other contenders.
