The Latics will be looking to continue their momentum as they look to capitalise on the Robins’ early-season struggles in an EFL League Two clash on Saturday, September 20 at 3 pm, writes Lanz Sievert.

Oldham Athletic aim to extend their win streak as they visit bottom-placed Cheltenham Town FC this weekend. The upcoming key League Two fixture could impact both teams’ standings as Oldham pushes for a higher league position – while Cheltenham fights to escape the bottom of the table.

After four winless games, the Latics have secured back-to-back 1-0 victories over Cambridge United and Bromley. These results have boosted Oldham Athletic’s confidence ahead of their crucial away match.

Club record scorer Mike Fondrop netted the winner in the 80th minute against Bromley at Boundary Park, handing Bromley their first defeat of the season with a glancing header. This memorable moment highlighted Oldham’s attacking threat.

Goalkeeper Matt Hudson, marking his 100th club appearance, impressed with crucial saves to keep a clean sheet in the same game.

The home team hopes to bounce back after a 2-0 defeat to Crawley, where Harry McKirdy scored twice against Joe Day.

Cheltenham Town can take confidence from the fact that in the previous three fixtures the two clubs have met, the home team came out on top, with the Robins securing a 2-0 victory at Whaddon Road.

The Latics, now 14th, seek to climb higher, while the home team aims for points to escape the bottom.
