Rochdale
Altrincham 1 vs 2 Rochdale
Rochdale 0 vs 0 AFC Fylde
Rochdale’s Easter weekend results moves them one win away from confirming their playoff place. First a stunning 2-1 victory of Altrincham, then a point at home to 23rd place AFC Fylde in a 0-0 draw. Devante Rodney’s 89th minute winner makes him the Dale’s top goal scorer this season (with 15) moving one ahead of Granada’s Kairo Mitchell. Rochdale are now on 68 points in 5th place in the National League table, just two behind fellow Manchester side Oldham, with a game in hand on the Latics. It has been a magnificent season for Rochdale who will be hopeful they can end their campaign with bang and with a potential return to the Football League after their two season absence through the playoffs.

Oldham Athletic
Oldham Athletic 2 vs 1 Hartlepool United
York City 1 vs 1 Oldham Athletic
Oldham Athletic managed to pick up four points over the Easter bank holiday weekend to secure their place in the National League playoffs. First of all they defeated a mid-table Hartlepool side on Friday thanks to goals from Charlie Raglan and Mike Fondop-Talum after the Latics went 1-0 down at Boundary Park. Then on Monday, Micky Mellon’s men picked up a very respectable point away from home against 2nd place York City, a side they could face again this season with much higher stakes. The Four points attained in these two games were of vital importance for Oldham, not only to secure their playoff place but also to rediscover some form and confidence after losing three on the spin before the bank holidays. Two more games for Oldham in the National League season before they enter the dreaded playoff for a place in League Two next year.

Curzon Ashton
Curzon Ashton 0 vs 0 Alfreton Town
Farsley Celtics AFC 0 vs 3 Curzon Ashton
After back to back 3-0 defeats for Curzon Ashton, they now sit outside the playoff places on goal difference after like Oldham, collecting four massive points over the weekend. In their Good Friday clash, Curzon faced an Alfreton side 18 points behind them in the National League North table. A goalless draw between the two teams seemed fitting seen as there has only been one goal in the last three meetings between them. Moving on to Monday’s game, Curzon turned on the style as they beat bottom of the league Farsley Celtic’s 3-0 at the Silverlands Stadium. A first half brace from Adam Barton gave Curzon a comfortable lead at half time, before Alex Curran made it three just minutes into the second period to wrap up the win which keeps Curzon’s playoff hunt alive.

Radcliffe
Chorley 5 vs 0 Radcliffe
After securing their safety in the National League North last week and picking up three points against Farsley Celtic’s mid-week, things took a drastic turn for Radcliffe on Easter Monday as they were thrashed 5-0 by Chorley. Thomas Carr opened the scoring for Chorley before Andy Halls made it two in the first half. Things went from bad to worse for the Boro after the break as Courtney Senior made it three, Halls grabbed is second to make it four, and then in the 90th minute, Mark Ellis topped off a five star performance for the home side with their fifth goal of the afternoon. A day to forget for Radcliffe who will be looking forward to next season and second campaign in the 6th tier of English football.

Ashton United
Bamber Bridge 2 vs 1 Ashton United
Ashton United 2 vs 0 Mickleover Sports
Mixed results for Ashton United as well last weekend as they were beaten 2-1 by Bamber Bridge on Saturday, and then came away 2-0 winners against Mickleover Sports on Monday afternoon. Against Bamber Bridge the Robbins went 1-0 down in 12 minutes, an equaliser from Darius Osei would prove to be worth nil as Ewan Bange restored the home sides lead with what would be the match winner. However Ashton soon put things right as just three days later they beat 10-men Mickleover 2-0 in their penultimate game of the season. Another goal from Osei came a little under 20 minutes later than Jason Gilchrist’s opener, which would be enough for an important three points which secures Ashton a place in the playoffs.

FC United of Manchester
FC United of Manchester 2 vs 3 Whitby
Prescot Cables 3 vs 0 FC United Of Manchester
A desperately disappointing weekend for FC United of Manchester who tasted double defeat at the hands of Whitby and Prescot Cables. After going 3-0 down be Whitby, two late goals for the home side would not be enough to earn them anything from the game. Nathan McGinley’s own goal was followed up merely seconds later with a goal from Adam Le Fondre, but it wouldn’t be enough as the game finished 3-2 to the away side. After Declan McLoughlin’s red card in the 17th minute against Prescot, the day would go from bad to worse for the Red Rebels who were beaten convincingly 3-0 at the hands of the side sat 10th in the Northern Premier Division. Like Radcliffe, FC United of Manchester will be looking forward to another campaign in their division after narrowly avoiding relegation this season.
