Manchester’s own Lyndon Arthur is set to appear in a trilogy fight against fellow Brit, Anthony Yarde, at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on the undercard of the Chris Eubank Jr – Connor Benn super fight this Saturday.
The two light heavyweights currently have one win a piece in their two fights against each other. Arthur was knocked out by Yarde in the fourth round in their last fight, which took place over three years ago. Since then, Arthur has gone on to win five out of his last six fights, with his only defeat coming to the hands of now undisputed champion of the world Dimitry Bivol on the ‘Day of Reckoning card’ in Riyadh. A fight which he managed to take to the judges score cards despite the fact that he took the fight at short notice, a result which is not to be sniffed at given Bivol’s pedigree.

Both Niall Brown and @LyndonArthur have fights coming up, Niall tomorrow night with @BlackFlashPromo then the King and Anthony Yarde settle the score on #EubankBenn at Wembley Stadium 🏟️ pic.twitter.com/LEgweuoVSh
His opponent, Anthony Yarde, is coming of three straight wins after losing in a thrilling fight to another pound for pound great in Arthur Beterbiev. In a spirited performance against the then world champion, Yarde was eventually stopped in the 8th round by the Russian back in the December of 2023.
Both fighters are 33 years old. Arthur has a height and reach advantage of around two inches. However many boxing analyst would argue that it is in fact the smaller Yarde that boasts the power and speed advantages between the two. Which is why Manchester’s Arthur is going into Saturdays fight as a sizable underdog despite having previous success against his opponent. The fight is expected to get under away at around nine o’clock this Saturday.
