Why Gabriel Johnson’s move to Emley AFC makes sense for Bury FC

Bury FC confirmed that Gabriel Johnson has completed a move to Emley AFC, writes Rizki Ramadhan Putra.

With 15 appearances in the Shakers colours and one goal in September against Stafford Rangers, his work rate and attitude earned admiration within the squad, but logistical demands have made his continuing involvement challenging.

As per the club’s statement, Johnson faced growing travel commitments recently, which affected his ability to attend training and arrive on time for matchdays. With the recent birth of his child, the forward expressed a natural desire to continue his career closer to home in order to better support his young family.

The club emphasised that the decision with full understanding of Johnson’s circumstances. Bury FC thanked him for his contribution and professionalism during his time at Gigg Lane.

Johnson now begins a new chapter at Emley AFC, where the proximity to home life is expected to provide the stability he needs both on and off the pitch.
