Match Recap: Manchester Basketball vs Sheffield Sharks

Manchester Basketball returned to National Basketball Performance Centre as they faced Sheffield Sharks once more, writes Fadlan Mahesa Putra

Manchester Basketball returned to clash with Sheffield Shark last friday, as the match started at 2:30 pm. The home team managed to lead in every quarter but the first as they bounced back after a slow start and ended up taking the game 87-75.

The victory sees Manchester Basketball in 4th position overall just above Sheffield Sharks after their most recent clash.

For the second quarter, Manchester Basketball comeback started as the team put points on the board. By the end of the half, it was 47 points for Manchester basketball and 31 for the Sheffield Sharks.

In third quarter, Manchester Basketball and Sheffield Sharks both played strongly, still, by the end of third quarter, Manchester basketball got 69 points against Sheffield Sharks with 57 points.

And at the final quarter, Manchester Basketball proved that their performance was superior as they put the game beyond doubt.

At the end of the fourth quarter, Manchester Basketball triumph over Sheffield Shark saw them finish with 87 points while Sheffield Sharks secured 75 points. Kaiyem Cleary was awarded the player of the game with 23 points scored, and 4 rebounds, followed by Max Jones with 14 points and 2 rebounds and Zak Irvin with 12 points and 4 rebounds.

This match also marked Manchester Basketball comeback after beaten by Surrey 89ers with only 90 points against their opponents 95.
