Oldham Athletic will look to make it four in a row as they welcome fellow promoted side Barnet, who are hoping to build a streak of their own later today. The clash will be in an EFL League Two matchup on Saturday, September 27, with kick-off at 12.30 pm, writes Lanz Sievert.
Fresh off their biggest win of this season so far, Micky Mellon’s men are full of confidence, as they aim for a fourth straight victory hosting Barnet at Boundary Park this weekend.
The Latics put three past Cheltenham the last time out, with goals coming from Will Sutton, Luke Hannat, and Joe Quigley. It is still not clear whether or not they will have the services of all-time leading scorer Mike Fondrop, who was previously subbed off at halftime with an apparent shoulder issue.

The Latics won’t be short on options upfront, with on-loan Michael Mellon keen to add to his goal tally, after firing one home on his debut. They haven’t lost since his arrival at the club.

The visiting team hopes to extend their own streak to three games, following a 3-0 demolition of Grimsby Town, highlighted by a brace from Nnamdi Ofoborh.
Both teams are in their first season back in League Two, having been promoted together out of the National League. Barnet gained promotion after a centaur performance, winning the league, while Oldham took the longer route, clawing their way up from the promotion play-offs.
Barnet will feel they are the favorites, with Oldham failing to score a single goal against the Bees in their last two encounters, which included a 3-0 thrashing at Boundary Park.
The two sides are tied on points, with Oldham leading on goal difference. This is anyone’s game, with only one thing sure: at least one team’s winning streak will end on Saturday.
