The Dale celebrated a well-deserved victory on the road as they defeated Wealdstone by 3-1 at Grosvenor Park. The match which took place on Saturday, which was the sixth game of the campaign for Rochdale AFC. With that massive win they are back to the top of the table in first place of the National League competition.
All three starting attackers contributed to James McNutty’s attacking tactics being yet again successful.
The visitors took the field again with a 3-4-3 formation which has already been used several times so far this season. The formation proved to be a good decision for James McNutty’s side and it just took four minutes to score.
The goal saw a decent pass from winger Devante Rodney converted by Aiden Barlow who didn’t miss the opportunity that was handed to him beautifully. The visitors took a confident, early lead and continued to apply pressure to the host’s goal.
A tough face-off continued until the end of the first-half which saw no one able to score and it looked as though The Dale would go into the break leading by a solitary goal.
However, not long before half time a superb pass by Harvey Gilmore was converted by left winger Devante Rodney who was given the opportunity after providing one earlier in the game. The Dale successfully doubled their lead before the end of the first half and went off the pitch with a bit more breathing space.

Rochdale AFC hit their third soon after the restart as Kyle Gordon fed Emmanuel Dieservurwe another brilliant pass which soon saw the ball cross over the line in the 46th minute. This goal was the fifth goal of the season for Dieservurwe who is proving himself to be a good signing for the side.
The home team were under pressure as they were already losing 3-0. Neil Gibson tried to bring in a few fresh players but nothing seemed to work. That is until the 76th minute when the hosts managed to net a consolation goal for their fans. Alfie Massey’s deflected shot found the net, and Rochdale held out until the final whistle to claim the 3-1 win.

With the added three points, The Dale secured their first position back at the top of the table.
