Ateba Gautier Has Been Scheduled to Face Ozzy Diaz at UFC 320

Ateba Gautier

Cameroonian middleweight Ateba Gautier has been scheduled to face Ozzy Diaz at UFC 320: Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2. The fight will take place on October 4, 2025 and is set to be part of a stacked card featuring some of the UFC’s top contenders.

Gautier, nicknamed “The Silent Assassin”, has built a professional record of 8 wins and 1 loss, with 7 victories by knockout or technical knockout.

The 23-year-old has gained a reputation for his powerful striking, accuracy, and ability to finish fights early. At 1.93 metres tall with an 81-inch reach, Gautier brings significant physical advantages to most of his bouts.

Gautier has landed an average of 6.93 significant strikes per minute with an impressive 61% accuracy rate, while absorbing only 2.19 strikes per minute.

His 90% takedown defence has shown that opponents have found little success in bringing him to the ground, making him one of the more dangerous stand-up fighters in the middleweight division.

Gautier Has Beaten Robert Valentin in His Most Recent Fight

In his last appearance, Gautier has faced Robert Valentin at UFC 318: Holloway vs. Poirier 3 on 19 July 2025. The bout ended in spectacular fashion, with Gautier winning by knockout via punch just 1 minute and 10 seconds into the first round.

During the fight, Gautier has landed 19 of 37 significant strikes for a 51% accuracy rate, with 84% of those strikes aimed at the head. His clean, precise boxing and distance control have kept Valentin on the defensive from the opening bell, leading to a rapid and decisive finish.

If Gautier can use his reach advantage, maintain his high striking accuracy, and keep the fight standing against Dias, he will have a strong chance of adding another highlight-reel finish to his career.
