Manchester-born guard Nicolette Fairley has returned to the city, signing for the new Manchester Basketball franchise, ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Nicolette is an experienced GB International guard having played in the WBBL for Manchester Met Mystics, Sheffield Hatters and Durham Palatinates where she helped her side to a Trophy Final.

“I’m really excited to be back playing in Manchester this year,” commented Nicolette.

“Speaking to players and coaches, it feels like a new beginning and we have high aspirations for this season. I think we can really surprise teams this year!”

“The new franchise is an incredible opportunity to build something special here. We have an exciting group coming together and I cannot wait to get back on court.”

Fairley, who also spent a spell in Spain with Ferrol in Spain’s top-flight, has been a regular with the Great Britain Senior Women’s set-up.

In 2018, Nicolette won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast alongside Hannah Shaw, Georgia Anderson and Dom Allen.
