“It is the end of an era,” is how the Chadderton Football described the last time their grounds man Mick marked their grass pitch on the weekend.
After 25 years of faithful service to the club, Mick’s days of mowing the pitch and marking it for games are behind him with the introduction of the latest technology.

Manc Sport reported on the grant that Chadderton had received which will enable them to be given a modern day playing surface for their club.

The new 4g pitch project will begin today, (Monday, September 2).

In preparation at The Chad, the goalposts were taken down for the final time on the grass pitch at Andrew Street after yesterday’s (Sunday, September 1) reserve team game.
