Charity thanks non-league football and cricket clubs for raising ‘an incredible amount of money’

Representatives from Prostate Cancer UK have extended their thanks to two Greater Manchester sports clubs for their fundraising efforts.

Denton West Cricket Club and Curzon Ashton Football Club took to the field for bragging rights in an effort to raise money in a 20/20 cricket match.

Lancashire Cricket Foundation tweeted about the match which raised £5,000 for the charity which promoted a response from the charity’s own X/twitter account.

“That’s an incredible amount of money raised to help save men’s lives,” said a spokesman from Prostate UK.

“We truly appreciate the support of everyone involved.
“You’re all absolute legends.”
