Opposition as far away as Canada and Germany are on the cards as a Manchester team have declared an ambitious pre-season ahead of the 2024/2025 campaign.
This pre-season we will see familiar Elite League rivals for Manchester Storm alongside exciting international opposition as their new head coach Mike Flanagan prepares his side ahead of the 24/25 Elite Ice Hockey League campaign.
Tickets for all home pre-season fixtures are set to go on sale Tuesday 28th May 2024.
The first opportunity to see the brand new squad on home ice will be Saturday 24th August 2024 as the Storm take on league rivals and ‘triple crown’ champions, Sheffield Steelers.
A spokesman for the club said the doors are due to open at 6pm for a 7pm start.
The following day (Sunday, August 25, 2024) will see exciting international opposition take to the ice inside the Storm Shelter as Canadian outfit ‘UQTR’ (University of Quebec-Trois-Rivieres) make the journey to Manchester as part of pre-season preparation.
Doors will open at 4.30pm for a 5.30pm start.
The following weekend the action continues with what the club has billed as a big ‘Friday Night Hockey’ warm up against The Nottingham Panthers (Friday 30th August 2024).
Doors are due to open at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.
The pre-season slate concludes on Saturday 31st August 2024 as German DEL2 side Lausitzer Füchse make the trip to the Storm Shelter.
Doors will open at 6PM for a 7PM start.
It will be the final opportunity for Head Coach Mike Flanagan to see his side in action ahead of the 2024/25 EIHL campaign that begins the following week.
