A club’s management team has been bolstered in preparation of its upcoming season after a surprise promotion.
Manc Sport reported on Newark Town being elevated to step five football after a fellow club folded due to their finishing position in the United Counties League Division One.
The side will now compete next season in the United Counties League Premier Division North.

Off the back of this news, the club announced that they would have not one but two additions to their dugout to join manager Luke Parsons for the 2024/2025 season.
The first announcement also happened to be The Blue’s first summer signing as Mitch Griffiths was confirmed as coming on board as a player manager.
“Mitch has come on board not just as a player but also alongside Luke in the management team,” said a Newark Town spokesman.
“He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and has played at a good level during his career.
“This is a real coup for the club.”
Griffiths played at Lincoln United last season and made a big impact as he won the player’s player and managers player of the season for The Whites.
Former Holwell Sports manager Neil Miller was also named as coming across to join the management team.
The club’s social media team confirmed the news on Twitter.
