Fresh off the back of the news from when forward Benito Lowe was announced as coming over to the club from Bury FC — Avro’s new joint management team have announced another footballer who will be joining their side.
AJ Warburton is the latest player to commit to Avro FC for the 2024/2025 season after impressing for Droylsden in their last campaign.
The 18-year-old right back made 46 appearances for the North West Counties Football League Division One South Side as Droylsden pushed for promotion but ultimately fell short despite their excellent efforts.
Warburton contributed a total of 15 goals and assists for The Bloods last season.
The Avro joint management team of David Birch and Mike Norton said they had watched Warburton in action on several occasions.
“He is a young lad with a lot of potential,” said Norton.
“We think he will end up playing at a good standard.
“He is only 18, he is energetic and gets around the field.
“AJ is one for the future and he will be a good addition to our team.
“We are looking forward to him joining and are excited to work with him.”
