Trafford are back at the top of the table after they defeated the Runcorn Linnets 2-0 away from home, writes Louie Kennedy

In a memorable match, Trafford FC secured a dramatic 2-0 victory against Runcorn Linnets, despite facing a series of unexpected challenges.

Resilience and tactical prowess propelled the side back to the top of the Northern Premier League table.

The game started off strong for the home side with the Linnets applying pressure for the first 30 minutes, but in the 37th minute of the game Isaac Noble put Trafford 1-0 up against the run of play from a tight angle.

In the second half the Linnets carried on dominating much of the play and they were unlucky to not score as they hit the post amid a slew of chances.

in the 62nd minute, Trafford keeper Sam Booth was given a straight red for completely wiping out a Runcorn player, who was clean through on goal.
Trafford FC winger Matty Morgan took over in goal.

The rest of the game saw much of the same with the Linnets coming close but Trafford defending exceptionally.
Until the 82nd minute whenKanye Nisbett put the visitors 2-0 up.

In a game that on another day could have gone completely different for the home side, Trafford ended the match 2-0 away with ten men and are now top of the league.
