Eyebrows were raised earlier today, (Saturday August 31, 2024) when a football club announced the signing of former Bury FC player Connor Comber.
Manc Sport had previously reported that the player had left Bury for an unknown club.
Lancashire Amateur League Division Two side Bolton Rangers announced that the sought after player had signed with them before retracting this announcement.
It would have been a real coup for the club to secure the former Shaker but it turned out to be incorrect.
The club has not confirmed the surname of the correct Connor, nor has Comber yet been legitimately announced by a club correctly.
