A footballer who arrived at his present club in 2022 has signed a new contract with his club.

Elliot Osbourne who came across to Altrincham from Stevenage has committed to The Robins with this latest deal.

A spokesman from the club said: “Altrincham Football club are delighted to announce that midfielder Elliot Osbourne has signed a new contract to extend his stay at the J.Davidson Stadium.

“Since joining the Robins from Stevenage in January 2022 the 28-year-old has gone on to make 119 appearances in the famous red and white stripes.”

Osbourne who has also appeared for Stockport and Southport has been praised for his passing and ball retention abilities.

The Alty spokesman added that Osbourne’s unrelenting hard work had made him a pivotal part of the side that finished fourth last season in the Vanarama National League.

“I’m really happy to have extended my stay at Altrincham, it’s a fantastic place to play and I enjoy every single day,” said Osbourne.

“After a much-improved season last year I feel we’re a club on the up and I want to continue to be part of that.

“I truly believe loyalty is a massive part of football and the gaffer and club have given me this over the last couple of years and therefore it was an easy decision for me to accept the contract extension.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back in with the lads and starting off the new season, which we all hope will be really successful.”

Altrincham manager Phil Parkinson said: “Elliot has flourished in the team and has developed into a leader, which is something we’ve been searching for over the last couple of seasons.
“We feel he’s one of many who is developing that skill set.
“Hopefully we can go one better next season with players like Elliot pushing us forward.”

“I’m absolutely delighted Elliot decided to re-sign, he’s been a top performer throughout and I can only see more improvement to come.”
